The Fecks Bio's
The Fecks comprise of Ben Belville on Bass/Lead Vocals, Mark Johnson on Drums and Nick Wood on Guitar/Backing Vocals.
Ben Belville
Ben has gigged in various bands in around the South East for over 10 years, performing on bass guitar, guitar and drums. He has also been lucky enough to enjoy national theatre tours with a well known production company playing some of the largest and most prestigious venues in England and Scotland. Nowadays, as well as being a founding member and the front man of The Fecks, Ben teaches guitar and drums from home and arranges band scores for various artists. Influences include The Beatles and musicians such as Victor Wooton, Paul McCartney and Steve White. Ben uses Hartke and Ashdown amplification as well as Yamaha guitars. Mark Johnson
Born a while ago on Earth, this talented musician or DRUMMER loved to hit stuff, but it was not until he hit 20 he discovered he could play the drums. Self taught, this drummer carved his own path and in to bands such as Faker, Whisperkill, Surface and Epico. He also put together musicians to perform in amateur productions at the Brook theatre in Chatham. Now as a semi-professional musician he teaches and performs a range of styles in a range of bands. He uses Pearl Masters Custom Drums and Sabian Cymbals.
Nick Wood
Nick has been on the local circuit a good few years playing guitar in bands such as Abstract, The Mosquito's, Talon, Stranger and more notably the popular kend band The Rainkings. Nick currently plays guitar in The Fecks and also performs on bass in Headlong and The James Hawkins trio. Nick also owns and runs a Kent recording studio, Broadwood Music Productions in Sittingbourne. Nicks influences are many and varied including Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, King Crimson and Rush.Nick uses Fender and Ibanez guitars, Brunetti Cabs, Boogie amps and Line6 Pod effects.Check out Nicks studio at www.broadwoodmusic.co.uk
